The Gayatri Mantra

OM BHUR BHUVAHA SVAHA

TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM

BHARGHO DEVASYA DHEEMAHI

DHIYO YONAHA PRACHODAYAT

Translation 1 : I meditate on the radiant and most venrable light of the divine, from which issues forth the triple world ( the bhuh, bhuvah, svaha). May the divine light illuminate and guide my intelligence. Translation 2:Higher power, giver of life, the remover of pain and sorrow and the bestower of happiness; may we receive your supreme sin-destroying light; may our intellect be guided in the right direction.

This mantra is traditionally called " the mother of the vedas." The practice of this mantra enabled the sages to receive revelation from all others mantras, for this mantra calms mental noise, washes off karmic impurities, purifies the ego, sharpens the intellect, and illuminates the inner being with the light which flows directly from the source. This mantra connects us to the teacher within and helps us receive inner guidance and inner inspiration. we may ont notice instantaneous transformation, but the effect of this mantra is immense and everlasting. The process of purification through this practice begins in the deep unconscious and gradually pervades all aspects of our personality. We become new and fully transformed, from inside out.

"I invoke the Earth Plane, The Astral Plane, The Celestial Plane, The Plane of Spiritual Balance, The Plane of Human Spiritual Knowledge, The Plane of Spiritual Austerites, and The Plane of Ultimate Truth. Oh, great Spiritual Light which is the brilliance of all Divinity, we meditate upon You. Please illumine our minds."

By chanting this mantra, Divine spiritual light and power is infused in each of the seven chakras and connects them to the Spiritual Realms. The last part infuses our minds, hearts and souls with the power of the spiritual light that created the Universe.
