(Public place) Class Tips

The following are tips to help you and all those attending class to have a more enjoyable experience during class.......

~Please arrive to class at least 5-10 minutes early.  Students should not want to interrupt class because of a late arrival.

~Wear comfortable clothes, come with a clean body, and please avoid heavy perfumes or lotions before practicing.

~Try not to eat a full meal at least 2-3 hours before practicing.  Usually for a very light meal, or a snack, 1 hour is enough time to be prepared for a yoga practice.

~Respect the notion that yoga helps us to understand and value the stillness and silence within.  Be aware of the volume and content of your speech.

~The final rest at the end of practice (savasana) is a very important part of our practice.  Please plan to stay through savasana until the end of class.  If there is a specific reason you would need to leave before class is finished, please discuss this with the instructor before class begins.

~Recognize that  yoga practice in a semi public environment is a combining of a personal experience in a group setting.  This means that you should allow yourself the space, time and attention to move in a way that is healthful for you - while not compromising that space, time and attention of those around you.  Follow the flow of the class being offered while you are there to the best of your ability.  If you are concerned with the level of class you are entering, please discuss this with the instructor before class. Happy Vibe yoga classes are generally mixed level beginner. The yogi's say that we are beginners for the first 7 years of daily practice!

~Be mindful, breathe consciously, and enjoy your yoga practice!
