Yoga and Deep Relaxation Retreat:

The Gift of Yoga Nidra

 

For all levels, including beginners. Offered from 9 to 12 on Saturday mornings.

The perfect antidote to a busy and fragmented life, this nourishing weekend morning is a wonderful opportunity to come back into harmony, balance, and wholeness. This program is designed for everyone looking to honor themselves with yoga and deep healing rest.

During this morning retreat, we will

·    Release what is tight and expand what has become contracted with invigorating yoga

·    Alleviate not only muscular tension but also mental and emotional stress

·    Learn to stimulate your body’s natural healing response

·    Take home practices proven to foster deep relaxation in daily life.

The focus of this morning will be on rejuvenating yoga sessions, breath-work, and a form of meditative guided relaxation called yoga nidra, a Sanskrit phrase that means “yogic sleep.” Joan Altimore, RYT, has a special love for this nurturing and restorative practice that includes healing music, verbal guidance, intention, body scanning, breath awareness, and visualization. Enjoy a special yoga class and then lie down, listen, and receive Yoga Nidra!
